The Accuracy Challenge
AI systems are powerful but not infallible. Language models can generate plausible-sounding text that is factually incorrect, produce code that appears correct but contains subtle bugs, or present analysis that overlooks critical factors. Archeus addresses the accuracy challenge through a multi-layered approach that combines context engineering, verification, and human oversight.
The goal is not perfection — that is unattainable for any system, human or artificial. The goal is reliability: delivering outputs you can trust, with transparency about confidence levels and clear attribution to sources. Archeus accuracy engineering focuses on making outputs verifiable and actionable.
Accuracy is measured across multiple dimensions: factual correctness for research tasks, code correctness for programming tasks, analytical rigor for data tasks, and formatting accuracy for document generation. Each dimension has specific verification mechanisms and quality metrics.
Context Engineering
Archeus uses isolated context windows for each sub-agent. This prevents information overload and ensures each agent focuses on its specific sub-task with relevant, clean context. The main agent employs summarization to keep its own context window sharp, distilling key information from sub-agent results while maintaining clarity.
Context engineering extends to how information is presented to the language model. Archeus structures prompts to minimize ambiguity, provides explicit instructions for output format, and includes relevant examples to guide generation. This structured prompting reduces the likelihood of misinterpretation.
For multi-step tasks, Archeus manages context across steps carefully. Previous results are summarized and passed forward, with full details available for review. This approach prevents context drift while maintaining the information needed for subsequent steps.
Verification Pipelines
Critical outputs pass through verification steps. Archeus can cross-reference information across multiple sources, validate data against known constraints, and flag inconsistencies for review. For research tasks, this means verifying claims against authoritative sources before presenting them as findings.
For code execution, Archeus runs tests and validates outputs before presenting results. Code is executed in the sandbox, test cases are run, and output is verified against expected results. For data analysis, statistical results are validated for consistency, outlier detection is applied, and assumption checks are performed.
Verification is configurable based on task criticality. Quick research tasks might use lightweight verification — checking a single source for key claims. Financial or medical analysis tasks use comprehensive verification — cross-referencing multiple authoritative sources and applying domain-specific validation rules.
Transparency and Traceability
Every suggestion Archeus makes is traceable to its source. The system logs which data sources, skills, and reasoning steps contributed to each output. This traceability lets you verify the reasoning chain and understand how conclusions were reached.
Confidence indicators accompany outputs, helping you assess reliability. High-confidence outputs are based on multiple corroborating sources and verified data. Lower-confidence outputs include caveats and source limitations, prompting you to verify before acting.
The audit trail is accessible for every task, providing documentation for compliance, debugging, and quality improvement. You can review exactly what the system did, what data it used, and what conclusions it reached. This transparency builds trust and enables continuous improvement.
